The Latin word for fish is Garra Rufa Obtusa. It belongs to the family (cyprinidae) carp fish
Only the Garra Rufa contains the effective healing process of skin
Due to its supernatural healing power, some working professors named it doctor fish, l According to them, doctor fish works naturally as a human skin doctor and is both way dependencies: humans need them to beautify their skin while they need human dead skin cells as their food.
The Garra Ruffa is called a reddish log sucker
They live and breed in hot pools near Kangal, a small town in Turkey.
They only consume the affected and dead areas of skin, leaving the healthy skin to grow

Is the “Dr. Fish” Pedicure Safe
Of course it is, here are some ways we do that.
We do a client history. This will let us know if anyone should or shouldn’t be partaking in our treatment.
We do a complete physical examination of feet and hands. We do this by offering a complete manicure and pedicure prior to any immersion. We remove all excess callous and dirt. Nothing gets by our estheticians.
Our clients also always start with a 20 minute soak prior to any immersion, with our own Essential Spa Bath. This product replenishes vitamin and minerals in the skin.
No harsh chemicals are added to the water. Very organic.
All our ponds and aquariums are sanitized by UV Light. UV light is very effective in killing bacteria. We use the Laguna System in our home tank, it filters and destroys algae and harmful organisms in fish tanks. UV light is very effective in killing bacteria, said Joe Schwarz, a chemist who is director of McGill University’s Office for Science and Society and a Gazette science columnist. “I doubt you can get anything.”
Health Canada considers UV devices effective in killing bacteria, viruses and protozoa in drinking water. It does not address spa-related issues. There is no government body that licenses spas in Quebec.
Our spas are spotless, our tools and equipment are disinfected properly.
